Congratulations to Paul Tran, our 2017 Miami Writers Institute Kundiman Fellow!

Paul Tran is the Poet in Residence at Urban Word NYC and Poetry Editor at The Offing. Their work appears or is forthcoming in The New Yorker, Prairie Schooner, and RHINO, which gave them an Editor’s Prize. Paul is the first Asian American to be the Nuyorican Poets Cafe Grand Slam Champion since 1993, placing Top 10 at the Individual World Poetry Slam and Top 5 at the National Poetry Slam.

Congratulations to Mario Alejandro Ariza as well, the 2017 Miami Writers Institute CantoMundo Fellow.
