Join Kundiman's 2020 Mentorship Fellows and Mentors for a celebratory reading of their work, co-hosted with Books Are Magic!

The Kundiman Mentorship Lab supports nine emerging NYC–based Asian American writers across the genres of Creative Nonfiction, Fiction, and Poetry. After six months of workshops, craft classes, and mentorship meetings, this program culminates in a final virtual reading with Books Are Magic. The Mentorship Lab is a unique opportunity for the writers to collaborate with peers in a close-knit and supportive community.

This year's Fellows in Creative Nonfiction are Veasna Has, Promiti Islam, and Wilson Wong; the Fellows in Fiction are Christopher James Llego, Yasmin Adele Majeed, and Sarah Wang; the Fellows in Poetry are Huiying B. Chan, Ayesha Raees, and t. tran le.

The 2020 Mentors are Hala Alyan for Poetry, Gina Apostol for Fiction, Ching-In Chen for Poetry/Cross-Genre, and Mayukh Sen for Creative Nonfiction.
