In case you missed the live event, you can still watch a recording of the 2020 Mentorship Lab Reading co-hosted with Books Are Magic here on Youtube! The Mentors and Fellows gathered for a lovely evening of reading and reflection as the culminating event of the six-month long Mentorship Lab program.

The Mentorship Lab supports nine emerging NYC-based Asian American writers across the genres of Creative Nonfiction, Poetry, and Fiction. The program includes workshops, craft classes, and one-on-one mentorship meetings.

The 2020 Fellows in Creative Nonfiction were Veasna Has, Promiti Islam, and Wilson Wong. The Fellows in Fiction were Christopher James Llego, Yasmin Adele Majeed, and Sarah Wang. The Fellows in Poetry were Huiying B. Chan, Ayesha Raees, and t. tran le.

The 2020 Mentors were Hala Alyan, Gina Apostol, Ching-In Chen, and Mayukh Sen.
